“Try it” is a fully functional everyday household trivet that also adds some simple beauty and decorative fun to any dining room table. Composed of separate magnetic segments that lay flat, the trivet can be configured a number of ways to accommodate a particular dish or dishes, or to stand by as an elegant table centerpiece.
The “try it trivet” is formed from 3 magnetic segments developing over 3/4 of a circle (280°). Each of these elements can be considered a trivet in its own right, from the smallest, which is suitable for an espresso coffee maker for 2 persons, to the biggest, which can support a mid-sized casserole. The circular ends of each segment are discs of welded steel, inside which are magnets with opposing poles indicated graphically on the disks, so the system can be assembled with a variety of modular arrangements that offer a stable support surface for increasingly larger saucepans.
